Story Title:
Flushing rain water at SU Dome

Story Summary:
One of the biggest and most well-known buildings in Upstate New York, that pulls in huge crowds for entertainment and sporting events, will soon house a really big example of how to conserve natural resources. Rainfall and snowmelt from the Dome’s seven acre roof totals 6.6 million gallons of water annually. The design work is underway to collect 880,000 gallons of that runoff and use it to flush toilets. Terry Ettinger has more.
