Seth Leavitt joined Time Warner Cable News as a sports anchor/reporter in July of 2012. He has worked up and down the East Coast during his 10-year career.
After a brief stint working as a sports producer in his hometown of Boston, Seth took his first on-air job as sports director at WKAG-TV in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He spent two years there, covering a pair of Kentucky Derby’s, falling in love with horse racing. From the Bluegrass State, Seth headed north to the Green Mountains of Vermont, working as a sports anchor/reporter at WCAX-TV in Burlington.
After four winters (and gallons of authentic maple syrup) Seth moved to Tampa, Florida. As multimedia director at the University of South Florida he spent a year traveling the country with the USF football and basketball programs. Ditching a media credential for an all-access pass was eye opening. However, he missed the Northeast.
Seth jumped at the opportunity to return television, and to Time Warner Cable News. He enjoys the 24-hour format and the amount of time this station devotes to local sports coverage When he is not working, Seth is trying to avoid injury on the basketball court, and attempting to visit every “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” restaurant in New York state.
