If your New Year's resolution is get in shape, there are plenty of simple exercises you can do at home to kick start your health. Our Jill Urban reports.

Self Magazine recently introduced some moves anyone can do at home to boost your workout routine.

"You can get into the best shape of your life in your living room... you don’t need a fancy equipment, you don’t need a gym membership. Just a set of weights and a 4-by-4 area in your living room and that’s it," said Meaghan Murphy, Deputy Editor at Self Magazine.

The moves were created by celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels.

Pendulum: tones your butt and thighs

Ape: jump move to burn calories fast

Single Arm Mountain Climber: sculpts shoulders, butt, thighs, and abs

Bear Kicker: total body toner

Sumo Touchdown: works thighs and obliques

Caldron Crunch: firms your abs

Each exercise should be done for less than one minute to offer high impact in a short time.
