GREENWICH, N.Y. -- Elaine Person, a foster mom who took care of Jaliek Rainwalker five years ago, said, "The idea of him taking down posters for a vigil that's supposed to help find his son is just unconscionable, I cannot imagine why he would be doing that."

When Person found out Steven Kerr had taken posters down, she went to get them back up immediately.

Person said, "We're trying to make sure they're everywhere, when they come down we'll put them back up, when they come down we'll put them back up."

And she has the support of the local business community.
Several local businesses say Kerr has been into their shops, and they've refused to take the missing posters down.

Jaliek's grandmother Barbara Reeley said, "I have called Steven, I called him the other day to ask him not to take down the posters for Light the Night for Jaliek and he hung up on me."

The chief of Greenwich Police confirms that Jaliek's father did tear down the posters, and it's the Light the Night ceremony that's making him so angry, but event organizers say it's just about Jaliek.

Person said, "When we say searching for Jaliek, searching for the truth, searching for justice, what we're looking to do is to have a ceremony that really shines the light into the heavens, we're not looking to shine the light onto Steven."

Steven Kerr refused to comment for this story and even though he doesn't support the Light the Night event, organizers say they still plan on holding it, and more in the future.

Person said, "We have unlimited resources to keep this thing going as long as it needs to."

And for those looking for him, that means until Jaliek Rainwalker is found. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
