Two of the three people charged in connection to the murder of Arica Schneider and Samuel Holley have been cleared. Our Sabina Kuriakose joined us from Troy with more.

TROY, N.Y. -- Two of the men charged in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Arica Schneider and her boyfriend, Samuel Holley, 26, have now been cleared of the charges.

Terrence Battiste and Bryan Berry were arrested in 2007 for the deaths of Schneider and Holley in 2002. The couple was found dead inside their apartment in Troy.

DNA evidence has cleared Battiste and Berry.

Arica Schneider's father says he agrees with the ruling.

"We have been here through the whole pre-trials. You know, possibly put these guys in jail for the rest of their lives. We thought we had to be here today to show a little support. You know, they didn't do it," said Paul Schneider, Arica's father.

Still facing charges is 31-year-old Michael Mosley of Wynantskill. He was arrested this past June after his DNA was entered into the database last December. Police matched his DNA to blood found at the crime scene.

Mosley has been charged with two counts of second degree murder.
