PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. -- Police have arrested a man they say killed his girlfriend at their home in Pleasant Valley. Police say 30-year-old Robert Loucks has been charged with second degree murder.

The victim has been identified as Tyrese Storms. Police say they responded to a home on Marshall Road Friday afternoon to check up on the woman. They received calls from people concerned about her.

"They were concerned because there was some suspicious circumstances that existed with the victim and some other circumstances, we developed information that she may be in danger. We developed more information and were able to enter the house and we found her deceased inside," said Lt. John Watterson with the Dutchess County Sheriff Department.

Police have not yet released the cause of death, but say more charges may follow.
