ALBANY, N.Y. -- It's a top 10 list of the most endangered historic buildings in the City of Albany.

The Historic Albany Foundation put out a list of 10 buildings that could be knocked down unless action is taken to save them. The buildings on this year's list include the vacant School 22 building on Second Street, Bath House Number 2 on Fourth Avenue, number 558 on Madison Avenue and 4 Madison Place.

The executive director of the foundation says the buildings have character and value and it's important to save such historic properties.

"Every day, we lose a couple. The cities have been really coming down on demolition for parking lots and things like that. I think we need to be careful about what we are doing. I think we need to look at it as a whole, as a whole city with great resources, great neighborhoods, great buildings, great residences," said Susan Holland, Executive Director of the Historic Albany Foundation.

The list is announced once every five years.
