TROY, N.Y. -- Federal authorities have arrested 16 people after a six month investigation revealed they were running a drug ring in and around Troy.
According to the indictment, 11 of the arrested are from the Capital Region, while the others are from the New York City area.
The indictment shows that during the course of the investigation, law enforcement agencies found cocaine and crack cocaine, six firearms and more than $100,000.
All 16 defendants were charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine. If convicted, they could face a maximum penalty of up to life in prison.
