FORT PLAIN, N.Y. -- A Fort Plain man was arrested after police say they found marijuana and materials to grow it inside his home.

Police were called to a home on River Road after receiving a tip and they say they could smell marijuana coming from inside. Police say the homeowner, Robert Sager, allowed them inside for a search and they say they found more than 100 marijuana plants being grown inside, as well as equipment to grow marijuana, including lighting, fans and instructional materials. Police say they also found small amounts of dried and packaged marijuana.

Sager was arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful growing of cannabis. He's due back in court at a later date.
