ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Some Wal-Mart employees across the country are greeting Black Friday customers with protests. The workers are calling for better work conditions, wages and benefits.

In Glenmont, Wal-Mart employees say Wal-Mart has a moral obligation to pay more. They say, as a result, it's putting a strain on the local economy.

"Actually, when you raise the minimum wage, it helps to boost the local economies, because these workers are now able to go out and spend there, spend money on things they need, the necessities of life," said Frank Natalie, Schenectady Area Labor Counsel AFL-CIO President.

We reached out to Wal-Mart for comment and are waiting to hear back.
