TROY, N.Y. -- It's been a busy week for Troy police as two more teens were arrested in connection with the stabbing death of Takim Smith, 21.
On Thursday night, police arrested Keyanna Bradley, 18, and Mariyah Zeigler, 16. Police said the two teens were involved in the planning of the robbery that led to Smith's death. They're both charged with fourth-degree conspiracy.
Earlier in the day Thursday, friends and family of Smith joined the community for an anti-violence march in Troy. They say the violence in the city needs to end.
Smith's mother and the mother of his unborn child were on hand for the march.
Dymin Gambrell, mother of the victim’s child, said, "My kid will be unborn with no father, he will never even smell her hold her feel her, she will never get a glimpse to see what her father even looked liked. So, it's kind of hard, but I got his family's support, and I got my family."
Roshana McArthur, the victim’s mother, said, "We're keeping the faith. We're gonna remain strong. We have to raise our children and keep them close, please, hold onto your babies, keep them close, that's what's we are gonna do."
So far, six people have been arrested in the case.
