Officials in Fulton County have revealed some new developments in a Gloversville cold case dating back to 2010 in which a man was stabbed to death. Our Maria Valvanis has more.
GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. -- “We don't know who killed Brian Morrison. That's what we’re trying to figure out,” District Attorney Louise Sira said.
A desperate plea from law enforcement and family members to help solve a two-and-a-half year old cold case.
Brian Morrison, 42, left a Bleeker Street bar around 11:30 p.m. on July 6, 2010, headed for his Johnstown home. But just over a block up the road, he was stabbed multiple times, his body found on a lawn and was later pronounced dead.
“It's difficult to not know the answers to not know what happened to know I believe someone out there knows,” Rebecca Morrison, the victim’s wife.
Since the summer night tragedy, five arrests have been made, but none regarding the murder.
Orlando Rodriguez, along with three women, have been charged with tampering with evidence.
Derrick Paul, 30, allegedly got into a fight with Morrison and stole his wallet shortly before the murder and is awaiting trial on a slew of charges.
Now a witness has come forward saying before any of that happened, Morrison was seen arguing with two other men. Men police would like your help in identifying.
“We think someone out there knows what happened and we just want them to help bring these cowards to justice,” said Brian Morrison, the victim’s son.
Officials say on the night in question,n temperatures did not drop below 80 degrees. So they're hopeful the man in the Army coat may have stuck out to somebody.
Sira said, “Lot of activity on the street. We believe answer lies in the people.”
Rebecca Morrison said, “I'm hoping someone knows and will come and tell us.”
