SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Saratoga Springs Police said a man is still in Albany Medical Center after they say he ran into traffic on Lake Avenue early Saturday morning.

When officers arrived, they said they found Nil-antonio Eschevarria-Diaz, 23, lying in the road. They said witnesses told them he was walking on the north side of the road when he darted across two lanes of traffic and ran into a Saratoga taxi.

Police said alcohol is believed to be involved in the incident.

Police also said he is stationed here with the Navy.
