Tim joined Capital News 9 in September 2003 and keeps you up to date every 10 minutes throughout the morning with Weather on the Nines.
Originally from Baiting Hollow, on the east end of Long Island, Tim began his collegiate career in Albany, but returned to intern at WTEN-TV and WNYT-TV.
Tim attended Lyndon State College where he majored in Meteorology. He has been awarded Television Seals of Approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
Tim was recently named Best TV Weather Anchor in Metroland's Best of the Capital Region 2004. Take a look!
Tim's professional career started in 1994 as chief meteorologist for WVNY-TV in Burlington, Vermont. A year later, he headed to the Bluegrass to become the weekend meteorologist for WLEX-TV in Lexington, Kentucky. In July 1997, Tim accepted the challenge of building the weather department from the ground floor as the chief meteorologist at WSYM-TV in Lansing, Michigan. In January 2002, Tim headed to the tropics and was the weekend meteorologist at WZVN-TV in Fort Myers, Florida.
Tim is very happy to be back "home". Outside the office, he's an avid football fan, enjoys working out, grilling and when he has time, playing his bagpipes.
