SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Saratoga County-run Maplewood Manor Nursing Home is facing a lawsuit following the death of one of its residents.

According to court documents, Paul Woodley of Saratoga Springs has sued the nursing home in Ballston Spa for negligence and malpractice after his 83-year-old wife, Janice, died last year. The documents state on January 5th, Woodley was given a dose of insulin that was intended for her roommate. In the following two weeks, she was admitted to Saratoga Hospital three times with ailments ranging from dehydration and pneumonia to a urinary tract infection. The woman ultimately died on the 21st.

Neither Saratoga County attorney Stephen Dorsey or Woodley's attorney were available for comment Friday. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
