CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- Thousands of people are happy with full bellies, after the 15th annual Free Burrito Day here in the Capital Region.
Bombers Burrito Bar in Albany and Schenectady teamed up with the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York for the event.
Patrons donate money to the AIDS Council and receive a free burrito in return.
The restaurant's COO said this event is a great way to give back to the community and an important cause.
"I think it's going really well. Everyone is being really generous. The line has been constant all day and we're trying to keep a good attitude. It's really positive here and that's what we like to do, is give back,” said Jimmy Vann, COO Bombers Burrito Bar.
"So, we are thrilled people are out here supporting Bombers as well as the AIDS Council,” said Donna Vancavage, Director of Developing and Marketing for Aids Council of Northeastern New York.
They hope to continue this again next year.
