LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. -- A popular Warren County destination is now looking into the prospects of casino gambling. Lake George mayor Robert Blais has scheduled a public forum on Tuesday to get residents' input on the idea.
Lake George is not the first Capital Region community to toss around the idea. Saratoga Springs and Essex County have already expressed interest in casinos.
This comes after Governor Cuomo outlined a plan to boost both tourism and economic development in the state by allowing three resort gambling casinos.
The forum will be at Fort William Henry at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
