CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A piece of television history is being recreated in the Chautauqua County hometown of America's favorite redhead, Lucille Ball.
A smaller version of the iconic barbecue from the comedy "I Love Lucy" sits in the backyard of Lucy's childhood home in Celoron near Buffalo.
In one episode Lucy mistakenly thought her wedding ring was buried in the barbecue. So, she took it apart and then put it back together, sort of.
A local masonry company helped recreate the mis-shapened barbecue after watching the episode.
"If you're a fan, there are just certain props that you look at, and you know exactly what episode, you know exactly where you were when you first saw it, and it’s one where you can watch over and over again,” said Abbie Lasker, co-owner of 59LucyLane.com.
The owners will hold a celebration of the barbecue during Lucy Fest in August.
