COLONIE, N.Y. -- Next week, more than a dozen Pop Warner cheerleaders will be performing for a very special audience at the White House.
"The Angels" cheer team is made up of special needs kids from all over the Capital Region.
A week from now, on May 7th, they will perform on the President's Council on Physical Fitness in Washington, D.C.
First Lady Michelle Obama and several sports stars, like Drew Brees, are going to attend.
The Angels hope the President himself will make it there. They told our Erin Vannella what they hope the Obamas get out of their performance.
“What do you hope they see when you perform? What do you hope they do?" our reporter asked.
Cassandra Cole said, “Smile. Just smile."
Now, traveling an entire team by bus to D.C. isn't cheap and they're still looking to raise money to fund their trip.
