SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Lance Leonard, the man police say threatened to kill a Skidmore student and then himself back in March, has pleaded guilty in court.
Saratoga County's District Attorney says the 49-year-old pleaded guilty to coercion in the first degree, which is a felony.
Saratoga Springs Police say Leonard was having a relationship with a student and on March 5th, started to send her threatening text messages. Skidmore was placed in a lockdown that night while police searched for Leonard.
Leonard will be sentenced on July 8th.
