SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The man convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol and LSD and later causing a car crash has been sentenced.
According to the Saratoga County District Attorney's office, Terrence Rudes was driving on Church Avenue in Ballston Spa last September when he crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car. The driver of the other car was seriously injured.
Responding officers say Rudes told them he thought he could time travel and drive through the other car. He was convicted of vehicular assault and will spend one to three years in prison.
When he is released, Rudes must have an ignition interlock device installed in his car for three years.
