GUILDERLAND, N.Y. -- State Police arrested a Schoharie County man who they say was driving recklessly in a stolen car.
State Police received a report that the car was heading east on I-90 around 8 p.m. Thursday. When Troopers ran the license plate, they realized the vehicle was reported stolen earlier on Thursday by the Albany County Sheriff's Department.
Darren LaRose, 25, of Middleburgh, was pulled over in the Town of Guilderland on I-90. State Police say LaRose was speeding, was under the influence of drugs and driving with a suspended license.
LaRose was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and aggravated unlicensed operation. He is being held at Albany County Jail without bail.
