An Onondaga County man serving time in Attica for a 2001 murder on Syracuse's south side is in trouble with the law again.
Shondell Paul is accused of attacking and stabbing three prison guards during a dinner hour round-up.
Police say Paul stabbed the guards with a 7.5” homemade knife.
One of the guards was stabbed several times in the chest and back.
Paul was eventually subdued and handcuffed.
Paul is serving a 92-years-to-life sentence for a number of charges, including the Syracuse murder.
He and his brother were convicted for two armed robberies, one of which ended in the death of two men.
The three injured guards have been released from the hospital.
