ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany International Aiport will be receiving some improvements soon.
According to airport officials, the airport received $1 million worth of federal funding from the Federal Aviation Administration. The money will be used for a new rescue vehicle, a service road, and improved perimeter fencing.
Senator Chuck Schumer, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and Congressman Paul Tonko announced the grant. Schumer said the upgrades will make Albany International Airport more safe and modern.
