ALBANY, N.Y.-- Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) will be in Albany this afternoon to discuss the expansion of CDTA's bus rapid transit network.

Schumer will be joined by CDTA chairman David Stackrow at The College of Saint Rose to discuss the 40-mile rollout.

"Bus Plus," which was C-D-T-A's first bus rapid transit line in the area, was first introduced in 2011.

The hybrid buses makes limited stops along the 17-mile stretch of Route 5 between downtown Albany and downtown Schenectady.
