SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- A major star made her way through the Spa City Monday.
Media mogul Oprah was in Saratoga Springs, visiting two of her leadership academy students who are now attending Skidmore College.
Oprah and her students had a late lunch at The Crown Grill at Circus Cafe on Broadway. Owners there tell us she had filets and the wedge salad and she said both were "fantastic and spot-on."
The owners say Oprah's visit was focused on the girls, and she appreciated the owners' hospitality.
"On their way out, before they left, we gave them gift certificates to our sister restaurant next door, the Circus Cafe, as well as "I tame lions" t-shirts, and what was so cool was seeing the look on Oprah's face when we gave something to her girls, making it all about them, which was what the whole point was for her, as opposed to directing it to her, so she was thrilled," said Christel MacLean, owner of The Crown Grill at the Circus Cafe.
