ALBANY, N.Y. -- Organizers of Katie's Koats are asking for help to keep the homeless and veterans warm this winter.

Last year, the organization collected more than 1,200 coats. This year, they are looking to surpass that number.

According to the founder, she is grateful for the community's support.

"It is very heart warming to know that the community and Albany County is helping me, and partnering up to do this collection. If it weren't for the community I probable would not of had such a success as I did last year," said Kaitlyn Drobner, Founder of Katie's Koats.

Winter coats will be collected and washed at Best Cleaners. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
