TROY, N.Y. -- Students at Troy Middle School took a look at the latest technology for the school's "Technology Day."
Students had the chance to use different forms of technology right in their classrooms. The students learned firsthand during activities like television studio development and online gaming development. It's an effort by the Troy School District to give students access to the latest technology.
"We're trying to take this university caliber, state of the art technology that's in Troy Middle School and send it around district wide to all of our elementary schools and our high school. We've seen the benefit in student engagement and student achievement. The teachers are able to do wonderful things," said Superintendent John Carmello.
A vote on December 10th will determine if the entire district can see technology upgrades. This would include upgrades to the network, security systems and classrooms.
