ALBANY, N.Y. -- The woman involved in a hit and run earlier this year has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for assault charges.
Shanikqua Thomas plead guilty in October. In August, Thomas and a woman driving the car stopped to talk to a group of people on Elk Street and Henry Johnson Boulevard. Police said the driver got out of the vehicle and into an argument with the group.
