The nation’s economy is showing signs of improvement after the Department of Labor announced more than 200,000 news jobs were added. YNN's Washington Bureau reporter Geoff Bennett reports.

NATIONWIDE -- The National Labor Department issued the November employment report on Friday.

According to the agency, the unemployment rate has fallen to seven percent. The November rate marks a five year low for unemployment.

Employers also added 203,000 jobs during the month of November. The new numbers were better than economists predicted.

According to the labor department, many of the new jobs were added in higher paying industries such as manufacturing and construction firms.
