GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- A local woman received the National Paraprofessional Award for her work as a Home Healthcare Aid.

Lori Gregory of Granville was one of more than 200 Paraprofessionals from across the nation nominated for this award. Paraprofessionals provide care to patients at their home and independent living support.

This award is presented to the aid who has experience, reliability, and compassion for their patients.

"She gets stellar remarks from everywhere that she goes, everybody wants to have Lori because she's just great, she's really great. We're very pleased and very proud to have her as a member of our healthcare team and we're so excited that she was recognized for a job very well done. She's very deserving," said Nursing Homecare Supervisor Cynthia Mitchell.

This is the first time this award has gone to a Paraprofessional from Interim Healthcare of Glens Falls.
