NEW YORK STATE -- Citizen Action is trying to educate people about the Affordable Care Act, and the new health care options that come with it.
On Friday, about a dozen volunteers gathered to create and implement an outreach program.
They hope their plan will provide assistance to community members looking to learn more about the ACA.
"I think most people are confused and really scared,” said Mary Clark, the Citizen Action Regional Director. “They've only heard 'oh it's bad, oh it's good." They're not sure what to think. So we need to train a lot of community volunteers to go out there and really show people that these options are available.'
Another volunteer training session will be held next Thursday night.
