NEW YORK STATE -- The U-S Marine Corps Reserves'/Dunkin’ Donuts Toys for Tots Train makes its annual run across New York Sunday, delivering gifts to thousands of children in need.
This is the 5th year Dunkin' Donuts has partnered with the Marines Corp.
The coffee and donut franchise donated $30,000 to stock the train for the journey, which started in Rensselaer and ends in Clinton County's Rouses Point.
In between are five stops, making for a very Merry Christmas for hundreds of families. Organizers said none of it would be possible without the cooperation of many.
The toy drop off in Saratoga was kicked off by the arrival of wounded warrior Bill Whitman.
Whitman was recently diagnosed with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder stemming from head and shoulder injuries suffered during a missile attack in Iraq.
