ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- One of the four people who was arrested in connection with an identity theft ring over the summer has been sentenced.

Heng Li, 27, of Brooklyn, pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a forged instrument and scheme to defraud. He was sentenced Wednesday to serve up to seven years in prison.

Authorities say Li had a credit card skimming device and a fake Michigan ID, which was used at the Golden Town Buffet in Glenmont. Police say people who paid for meals with a debit or credit card at the Golden Town Buffet between June and August began to see fraudulent transactions on their bank statements.
