John Halacy was arraigned on a second degree burglary charge on Thursday. YNN's Megan Cruz has the latest from Albany County Court.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- John Halacy plead not guilty to burglary charges in Albany County Court on Thursday.

According to police, Halacy, his brother Raymond Halacy, and Andre Beverly burglarized a home in Colonie on Thanksgiving. Police say they took several items from the home, including computers, video games, a television, and some guitars.

All three are facing second degree burglary charges. Raymond Halacy and Beverly were arrested in Florida, and are awaiting extradition. Police say they recovered most of what was taken.

John Halacy was arrested Wednesday after a court appearance in Rensselaer City Court in connection to a sexual abuse case. He is accused of raping two girls last winter.

In November, the charges were downgraded to misdemeanors after a paperwork error in the district attorney's office. The judge adjourned that case in court on Wednesday. The Rensselaer County District Attorney's office filed a notice saying the misdemeanor case may go before a grand jury. ClientIP:,, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
