After the shooting death of a 20-year-old man in Albany, family and friends of the victim join other residents at a SNUG rally to push change in the city. YNN's Kate Welshofer has the story.
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany residents rallied against violence, after a man was killed earlier in the week.
The 20-year-old man was shot Monday morning in First Street and taken to Albany Medical Center where he later died. Family and friends of the victim gathered at the corner of First Street and Judson Street for SNUG rally on Wednesday.
"I appreciate it all, but this isn't enough. We need to be able to do more to get the word out there so people like me don't have to lose their son, don't have to lose their daughters to these streets," said Wanda Wilson Morton, the victim's mother.
Albany police say they are still investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Albany Detective's Division.
