COLONIE, N.Y. -- One week after a judge closed the legal chapter of a painful story, Bailey Wind turns a page from her own book, "Save Me a Spot in Heaven, A Tribute to Christopher Stewart."
There were no copies on sale at the Barnes and Noble in Colonie on Thursday, but that didn't stop dozens from lining up.
Wind requested media not be present during the signing, but those who came with a book couldn't wait to meet Bailey Wind and share their words of encouragement and support.
"Knowing that she went through that experience and was still strong enough to get through it and even after the accident and she was still strong enough to overpower that bullying and it makes me feel like I can be that way too," Colonie resident Michaela Barnes said.
"I give her a lot of credit. As an adult, I couldn't even be as strong as she is with all this and I commend her on everything she's doing," said Colonie resident Stephanie Barnes.
