GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. -- Police in Gloversville say the driver of a truck may have tried to lure a child into his vehicle on two separate occasions.

Police say the boy told them he was walking on East Fulton Street near Cedar Street Thursday evening when a man asked the child if he needed a ride.

The boy declined and told the man he was calling his mother. The man then took off.

The boy told Police the same man also approached him on Oakland Avenue Sunday evening, asking if he needed a ride.

The truck is described as dark colored, possibly a Dodge Ram, with a quad cab and silver tool box in the bed.

There are lights on top of the truck, similar to off road auxiliary lighting, and a pink ribbon on the back, similar to a breast cancer awareness sticker or magnet.

The truck has rusted wheels and a loud exhaust.

Anyone with information regarding the case is urged to call the Gloversville Police Department at (518) 773-4506 or (518) 736-2100. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
