ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Another top Orange County official is sworn into office.
David Hoovler took his oath and thanked his family for their support.
He also thanked his former boss, outgoing district attorney Frank Phillips, whom he handled several high-profile cases under.
Hoovler is a former Police Detective in Prince George’s County, Maryland and he also worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx.
He says he's looking forward to this new chapter of his career.
"I am going to strive to do everything in my power to make sure that in the upcoming years, the DA's office integrates and becomes part of the community. We listen to what you have to say, we seek your input and we try to solve problems collaboratively. That's my vision of the DA's office and that's where I intend to take it," said David Hoovler, Orange Co. District Attorney.
