KINGSTON, N.Y. -- Local farmers and businesses in Kingston are reminding people they can still buy local and fresh, even during the winter.
More than 20 vendors were on hand Saturday for the bi-monthly Kingston Farmers’ Winter Market at the Old Dutch Church.
Everything from bread, pies, fruits and vegetables were for sale.
This is the third year for the Winter Market which is held every first and third Saturday of the month.
Organizers say the market focuses on everything local.
"Fresh products, local products. You get to meet the grower here, you're not talking to a salesperson, and primarily you get to meet the grower. It's a union between the two," said Ray Tousey, Vendor.
The Winter Market runs until April, when the same vendors move outside the church for the Summer Market, giving Kingston residents a place to get their local goods year round.
