TROY, N.Y. -- Two children are recovering on Monday after they were hit by a car in Troy.

The incident happened on Hoosick Street just before 9 p.m. on Sunday. According to police, four kids were crossing Hoosick Street at 10th Street when one girl was hit. The 13-year-old was thrown from the hood of the car, and proceeded to hit one of the other kids crossing.

Both victims were taken to Albany Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver was ticketed for not yielding to pedestrians in the crosswalk.

Officials say speed or alcohol do not appear to be factors. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
