TROY, N.Y. -- A home health aide is arrested Thursday after police say she stole from a client she was hired to care for.

Albany County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Krystal Hartley, 27, of Green Island.

Hartley was an employee of Adept Health Care in Troy.

Green Island Police say a resident in the village reported that her home aide charged over $400 to her credit card.

One of the fraudulent charges was made at Dave and Buster’s Restaurant at Crossgates Mall.

Sheriff’s Investigators got video surveillance from the store showing Hartley bought items with the victim’s credit card.

Hartley turned herself into Sheriff’s Investigator’s and was charged with forgery, identity theft, and petit larceny.

She was arraigned in the Town of Guilderland Court and released on her own recognizance.

The Albany County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of identity theft to contact them.
