Man arrested for impersonating a state trooper

LATHAM, N.Y. -- State police arrest a Colonie man for impersonating a state trooper.

State police were conducting a traffic stop on Washington Avenue in Albany, when they say 20-year-old Anthony Chandler pulled over and asked them if they needed any help, saying he too was a trooper out of Latham.

Other than wearing a shirt with the state police logo, troopers say Chandler had no other identification to prove he was a trooper and could not answer questions about the job correctly.

He's charged with impersonation of a public servant and will be back in court next week. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
