SARATOGA, N.Y. -- The snow didn't stop these kids from grabbing a bucket and heading to Saratoga Spa State Park.

Each year, the DEC and volunteers work with the Van Hornesville Fish Hatchery to stock local streams.

"That small amount of snow is not going to chill the water. The nice sunshine today is excellent to warm the water and make the fish do well in the water," said, Larry Kroon, Van Hornesville Fish Hatchery.

The Geyser Creek is once again stocked and ready for trout fishing. Wildlife experts say the fish adapted well. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
