SCHENECTADY COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance was hit hard by the storm on Thursday. The walls of the building were ripped off.
The cleanup and rebuilding of the volunteer rescue squad will take days, even months.
No one was home at Eric Folmsbee's house when the storm hit, but there is a lot of damage at his home.
"Mainly trees. A lot of trees are down, a lot of trees are uprooted, swingset, pool, shingles on the house," Folmsbee said.
Tracey Snyder's 15-year-old daughter Emily was home alone. Snyder and her husband were miles away at work.
"It was really loud, and there was hail everywhere so I just went in the bathtub and sat with the dog," said Emily.
"I wasn't there for her, and it could have been much worse. She's braver than I would have been," Snyder said.
Thankfully nobody was hurt in that neighborhood.
