HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- People in the Hudson Valley at it again, trying to break the world record for longest handshake relay.

The Walkway Over the Hudson was obviously a perfect spot to try it. Thousands showed up Sunday, showing some bi-county and bipartisan teamwork.

The handshakes serve as a symbolic gesture between Ulster and Dutchess Counties.
It's not just about making it into the record books though the event helps raise money for the two bridge communities.

People at the event were also trying to set the record for popping the most bubble wrap.
