A gunman who stormed a New Bedford strip club and killed two people told a police dispatcher "I had a little issue I took care of."
Those were the words of 35-year-old Scott Medeiros just before
he turned the gun on himself.
Tapes of the 911 calls made during the shooting rampage at the
Foxy Lady reveal an eerily calm gunman. Medeiros wounded at least three other people, including two police officers.
After telling dispatcher Ronald Pacheco that he wanted to
"decorate the club a little bit," the Freetown man apparently
opened fire with a gun. It wasn't clear if he was shooting at
Police believe Medeiros had a grudge against club security guard
Robert Carreiro of New Bedford, who had fathered the child of
Carreiro and club manager Tory Marandos both died in the rampage.
