KINGSTON, N.Y. -- During a special ceremony on Friday, Ulster County named their official county ice cream.
Caramel Apple from Adirondack Creamery was named the official ice cream of Ulster County. The event was a celebration of the use of local products from Ulster County by small business food producers.
"That flavor constitutes some fantastic ingredients that are actually sourced right here from the county. And then made, manufactured and produced, shipped and sold right here in the county," said Paul Nasrani, President and Founder of the Adirondack Creamery.
Almost every ingredient in the ice cream came from Ulster County.
