MONTICELLO, N.Y. -- Alcohol toxicology reports for Monticello Mayor Gordon Jenkins have been obtained by YNN through a Freedom of Information request.
According to the report, the night Jenkins was arrested for DWI, he had a blood alcohol level of .13 percent. Jenkins refused to submit to a chemical test after he was pulled over. Later that evening, Jenkins was sent to Catskill Regional Medical Center after telling police officers he had chest pain. During that visit to the hospital, he had blood drawn.
The Monticello Police Department obtained the records through a search warrant, and the Sullivan County District Attorney submitted those records to court, therefore making them public record.
Jenkins made national headlines for his use of racial slurs and extensive profanity during his arrest. He has since apologized, but has refused any calls to step down from the position.
Officials still expect to see further toxicology results from the night of his arrest.
