HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Two school districts voted down proposed security and safety bond referendums.
The measure failed in Arlington Central School District. The unofficial vote count there has 512 yes votes to 1,364 no votes. The district says even though the measure didn't pass, it remains committed to safety and security and will let community members know what other efforts are being made to ensure safety.
Voters in the Highland Central School District also voted down a $25 million proposition to improve school security.
